Outdoor Lighting Colour Scheme

With a tailored colour scheme of golds and reds, Core Lighting used its extensive experience of special occasions, functions and events to create an ambient lighting theme for an outdoor area for 70 guests for an entire evening as part of a Golden Wedding celebration at a house in the Cotswold’s.

Central Point of Focus

With a large pond, central to the location, Core Lighting provided decorative lighting to enhance the full aspect of this beautiful water feature, in full view of all the guests. Lighting was even provided, using the CORE PinPoint to spotlight a large willow tree growing on an island in the centre of the lake.

Uplighting Trees

Surrounded by a great selection of trees, our ColourPoint uplighters and new ColourPointMini uplighters were used around the pond for improved aesthetics and to create an additional light spill into the main garden.

Safety Lighting

With the garden designed on different levels, we were asked to provide a degree of safety lighting on behalf of the happy couple. To create a more aesthetically pleasing safety feature, we used the Table Point wireless table lamps to provide lighting for three step areas and to highlight areas with land drops down to the stream that fed the pond along with the pathways near the pond to prevent accidents.

CORE Lighting specialises in designing and manufacturing wireless, rechargeable battery powered solutions, which meant that in addition to the uplighting and spotlight features we were able to add new lighting to some areas and to replace dead lighting installed years earlier and which was no longer functional without the need for any invasive groundwork or expensive cabling requirements.

To illuminate the driveway approach and some of the walkway areas in the garden, we installed battery powered Festoon lights in trees or hung them from some of the decorative garden structures. These lights are powered by a CORE solar powered, rechargeable powerpack, which can run through all four seasons as a permanent installation but without the need to dig up the driveway of paths. 

Minimal Effort

Set up was required for 7pm on the evening of the event, and completed in less than two hours. Both scenes on either side of the pond were controlled from a ColourPoint unit, set as a ‘master,’ therefore, immediately accessible from the main house to switch on all the lights, change the colour tone and also switch them off again remotely at the end of the evening to minimise disturbance to the neighbours.

All the lighting was then taken back inside to charge the morning after the event.
